Breastmilk Jewellery
The early feeds, the long nights, the expressing, perseverance and quiet moments in between — every breastfeeding journey holds a story of its own.
What is Breastmilk Jewellery?
Breastmilk jewellery (also known as breast milk jewelry) transforms a small amount of your milk into a preserved stone, set in fine jewellery.
A way to hold onto a fleeting, life-changing season, something you can wear long after that chapter has closed.
How it works
- Choose from our Made-to-Order designs, or begin a bespoke commission with us.
- Once your order is confirmed, we will send you clear instructions for submitting your milk.
- Send us 10–30ml of breastmilk. We can work with fresh milk or milk that has been frozen for many years.
- We preserve your milk and craft your jewellery over approximately 8 to 12 weeks from the date it safely reaches us.
- Your completed piece can be collected in person or delivered to your home for a $15 top-up.
How much milk is needed?
We request approximately 10–30ml of breastmilk.
The full amount does not need to be expressed at once. If your supply is low or you are weaning, you may collect smaller amounts over several sessions in a clean container reserved for your jewellery.
Once collected, transfer the milk into a clearly labelled breastmilk storage bag and freeze it until your order is confirmed. We will provide full packing and submission instructions after confirmation.
What kind of breastmilk can be used?
We can work with freshly expressed milk, previously frozen milk and milk that has already been thawed. Milk that has been stored for several years may also be suitable.
High-lipase milk, separated milk and milk that is no longer suitable for feeding can generally still be used for jewellery.
Please do not discard an older sample simply because you are unsure about its condition. Speak with us first and we will advise you.
A note on your milk
Every mother’s milk is naturally different. Its colour may range from bright white to cream or warm yellow, with subtle variations influenced by the milk you submit.
Your finished keepsake stone will therefore not look exactly like another client’s stone or the photographs shown on our website. Its individual tone, translucency and internal details are part of what makes the piece uniquely yours.
More than breastmilk
Many of our designs can also hold umbilical cord, hair, birthstones, diamonds or gemstones repurposed from jewellery you already own.
These elements may be arranged together within one piece, allowing us to tell a fuller story of your family, journey or milestone.
