Motherhood and Memory: Love Juno Gems in The AlumNUS

We’re honoured to be featured in The AlumNUS, the National University of Singapore’s alumni magazine, in a profile titled “Motherhood and Memory: A Bespoke Craft Shaped by Love and Meaning.”
The piece follows our founder, Yeo Min Qi (NUS Business ’13), from the disorienting early days of new motherhood to the founding of Love Juno Gems. Searching for a way to make an intangible season feel real, she began preserving her own breastmilk in fine jewellery — solid gold and real gemstones, made to last a lifetime.
“I was not prepared for the loss of a clear sense of self,” she told the magazine — a feeling that became the seed of the brand. What started as a personal project grew, through word of mouth, into a studio preserving breastmilk, umbilical cord, ashes, hair and fur for mothers and families in Singapore and beyond.
The feature also touches on leaving a twelve-year career to pursue the work full-time, and what she hopes her two daughters take from watching her build something meaningful.
